In view of possibly replacing preventively the clutch on my Ace Bristol, I hope it is fine to bring this relatively dated topic back to the top to discuss clutch set ups and also lightweight flywheels.
While I like the idea of replacing the original flywheel with a lightened unit, I do not find the Bristol gearbox particularly quick to operate, particularly when double-declutching, and I am not exactly sure if fitting a lightweight flywheel would make changing the gears down any more enjoyable and/or efficient.
Any input from the folks in the know about this?
