I plan to be there, I hope so as I am the organiser! Yes I am bringing my two Bucklands along with my Gold 2 Litre, I believe Mike Smith and Colin Naish are bringing their Bucklands, I hope many more 2 Litre and Bucklands will come to celebrate 75 years of the club. I have seen this car before, it doesn't have the normal AC motif on the radiator cowl, just a badge. Also the frontal treatment of the car is very different. The front wings and radiator cowl are one piece, the cowl which is normally Brass could possibly be aluminium.  Normal Buckland's and 2 Litre Saloons have piping joining the panels. I have seen one other Buckland like this, is was a Maroon coloured car in very poor condition, I saw it back in the early 90's somewhere near the Liverpool area. I hope this info helps.

Hi, I think you need to adjust the clutch pedal so as to give more clearance. The adjustment can be made under the car. You should be able to see a bracket attached to the bellhousing, you should be able to see how the adjustment should be made looking at the bracket as the clutch pedal is pressed down. Hope this info helps.

Hello Fastpace, You have a very interesting project. I have available a completely  new rebuilt CL AC 2 litre engine which I now do not need, this might be of interest to you if you want to bring the car back to original. Let me know if you would like further details.

Hello Paul , I had the same problem many years ago, it was the clutch release bearing that had worn down, no matter what adjustments we made it came down to the bearing. I hope this helps

Hello David, sadly I did not post the information re this Drophead, my code is not ARCH, but the photo is interesting as the car uses the same rear side window treatment as the one off drophead with the larger boot and petrol tanks in the front wings.

Yes all the above details are correct. This D/H/C is chassis number ELX 1102, engine UMB 1103, as can be seen the car is left hand drive and was originally sent to Auto Palace in Holland.

Hello, I read with interest your  problems with your carburetters. You mentioned that you have fuel misting at the entrance of the carbs. This normally happens when the valve timing is far advanced. For the vintage AC six the valve timing is inlet valve opens at 3.5 degrees after top dead centre and tappet clearance is .005 th.  Later engines have the inlet valve opening at 12 degrees before top dead centre and tappet clearance 20 th. It might be that if you adjust the timing chain sprocket one tooth it might help solve the fuel misting and the engine should run much smoother. These are only suggestions as I cannot know what way the engine has been set up re valve timing etc, but it's worth looking at to check all is well.

Gary, I have looked at both cylinders small and larger bore, externally they are both the same size. The reason for the larger bore was because the rear brakes were changed to hydraulics thus the feeling was that a larger bore for pushing more fluid was required. However as you have fitted a servo and you are changing to hydraulic rear brakes, I would be inclined to try the system as it is and then make changes to the bore size afterwards. As I mentioned before the brake master cylinder is the same size, thus you could get the cylinder bored out and fitted with a new larger plunger and seal.

AC Weller Engine / Water pump and Fan belt

it might be to obvious but there are four nuts holding the pump to the block, two nuts at the entry of water to the block and two nuts lower down on the pump body. As Robin says gentle heat helps plus use a socket bar pulling gently between the pump and the block, this normally does the trick
