Not sure if this is off topic, but I redesigned and had made new spring perches, as my original Koni’s had stripped. These are stronger, designed fur an 80mm C Spanner and give 6mm more lift too. Happy to share drawings if you confirm thread outside diameter.

Hi AC Ventura,
I'ld be interested to know the reference of the Spax shocks.

Vintage, PVT & 2 Litre Forum / how many liters of cool fluid?
« Last post by bakkerap on March 05, 2024, 06:03:30 »
Dear all,

In the coming weeks I will order new coolant for my 16/66 (1933). What is the capacity / how many liters do I need?
Of course I can measure when I take the current fluid out, however it would be great to pre order the new fluid.
Thanks for your help in advance

Best

Hi Rod -Thanks for the photo, and yes, if it's not a problem for you to measure the diameter and length, that would be very helpful.  I'm starting to get the feeling I will be having to make a dummy pair.  Wondering though, are the any markings that indicate who, if not AC directly, made the canisters?  Perhaps similar units were used on other marques of the time.  Cheers, Ian

Please find attached photo of my exhaust system on L604.
If you would some dimensions to manufacture a pair. I can measure them for you.
Kind regards

Thanks Colin.  Your exhaust setup looks exactly as mine does now, with the two perpendicular pipes capped off.  Those would be where the expansion cans were originally fitted.  I will hold out hope that there are a couple floating around out there.

Good thought on the radiator cap workaround!  I may well go that route.

Mk IV, Superblower, CRS and other Continuation Cars Forum / Brian Angliss

Heard the sad news yesterday that Brian Angliss has passed away. There will be an article on Brian in ACtion soon and all of us with MkIVs should be very grateful for his exceptional quality product that continued on from AC. Almost all MkIVs still exist which is testament to his ethos and the factory staff who built them. RIP Brian.

Ace 'Brooklands' Forum / Re: Door Trim
« Last post by paho on March 02, 2024, 12:11:17 »
Its a long time since I removed the door trim, but here goes.
There are four screws at the bottom of the door trim underneath the trim part of the door, remove these.
There is a screw retaining the inner door handle, remove that carefully. This will separate the handle from the
door trim, see pic.
There maybe screws in the armrest, check, and remove if there are.
Pull the lower part of the trim away from the door a couple of inches, make sure the door handle is free and doesn't follow
with the trim.
Then push upward until the trim lifts off the top of the door.
The window control switches can be disconnected after or before but I think it is easier to disconnect them after as they are not that
easy to remove first without damaging the wood surround (I think I pushed them out from behind).
Secure the door handle without kinking the wire.

Good luck /Paho

Hello Ian, I hope someone can help more than me. Anyway The youtube link below shows the start up of my engine. It shows a temporary setup for testing purposes. I have no idea if this is a bodged arrangement or what was actually used. It may help for a general view or better still, get your post generating some interest.

By the way, I know what you mean about the risk of mascot bandits. I remove the mascot from the cap and put a dome head bolt in it. Its not an ideal answer but will put me on until I can get a plain cap.
