Greyhound: track day tow hook?
« on: May 26, 2020, 07:04:11 »
Hello - I signed up for a track day in Brands Hatch and I need to have a clearly visible tow hook in front. Any suggestions for a temporary solution that doesn't require welding? (I have stock bumpers).

Hello,
I have just replaced all of my front tubing as part of a complete rebuild and in my opinion nothing forward of the chassis rails or cross member is strong enough to attach to.
The chassis is the only option in my opinion. Maybe a clamp on tow point could be made up. Just my opinion but I'd weld a 5mm plate tow point to the front bottom face of each chassis rail and tow on both with a 'Y' connection that I also made up that the tow vehicle can connect to. But, thats just me.  :)
Also, I'd say the same for the rear end since I have just replaced all of that too....chassis mount only.
Kind Regards
Trevor
