Aceca Bristol (wrong engine) on eBay
« on: February 16, 2020, 14:36:36 »
If anyone has a spare Bristol engine sitting around, there is an Aceca Bristol on eBay right now with some V-8, that is in need of everything:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1961-Bristol/274268558474?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

Looks like no data plate present, so no idea what the actual car number may be. Anyone in the area who could check it out???

The ad says they have the VIN plate., so the car number should be available on request ...

It is hard to understand how a vehicle could become so thoroughly trashed.

To me the really astonishing thing is the rusted through air cleaner. This must have sat outside in the rain for years. Never seen anything like it before. Want guess what the body is like near the frame?

Turns out this is BEX664. I got pictures of the underside, even scarier than the top and interior. Probably too far gone to justify a restoration, especially with the incorrect engine and transmission.
