Check this ebay ad out...very interesting accusations, pics a little confusing ie spline drive hubs and other items.

   Thanks for the number. It is a very interesting description and I wonder if it could be one of the Pierce/Buxbaum/Angliss cars. It might make for an interesting track car, but not at the price they are asking.

would the splined hubs suggest it is/was a Sports 289 ?  I hadn't thought about iy being a Buxbaum...I thought his all had compomotives? Jim

I can't say that I know much about the Buxbaum cars, but was grasping for a reason a chassis # might be removed and those cars came to mind. This car looks reasonably complete and would be easy to make roadworthy, but there is obviously something that happened in the past that screams stay away from it.

I can hardly imagine that Brian would have ground the chassis number off a genuine car!! It's a fake of sorts and would make a fun track-day tool, but as you say, not at THAT price! Anyway, less I'm much mistook, all AC289 Sports are present and accounted for.
   And if anyone out there has one for sale......!? I'd rather not have an ebay dog thanks.
