Why is it we no longer get the minutes in Action?
« on: November 12, 2019, 13:09:32 »
I am wondering why we no longer see the committee minutes in Action anymore. It is nice to see what is going on around the table.

Yes I know I could go to the meeting but not really viable.

Perhaps they could be published in the members section on the club site?

Gary, the answer to your question is that the Club does not have Club Secretary. As mentioned in ACtion Council Minutes are included when they are available prior to ACtion to going to print. Once a new Club Secretary is in post minutes will become available.

Hi Terry

Not directed at you, just wondering why they have disappeared from Action.

Moot point, but how do they know what they have been talking about at previous council meetings if no minutes?

Surely someone is recording them?

Well lets hope they get a secretary soon.

Gary

Cheers Gary, reason they are not included as they used to be when we had a Club Secretary is that they are distributed after ACtion has gone to print and if I included them in the next edition they would be out of date and perhaps comments/events had been superseded thus creating out of date news. As an example the November ACtion could have contained the July or August Council Meeting Review which may include several topics that have now been developed and therefore reporting this would create the wrong impression.
I will always include Council Meeting Reviews when possible.
