SAAC Registry AC MKIV and variations of...
« on: September 11, 2019, 00:30:22 »
Fellow owners

Looks like I will be helping/aiding with the AC portion of the SAAC registry.
Hope to get some support from this website as I think tracking our cars are important.
Before sending information to me I will be adding a registry sheet to this forum.
Trying to keep it easy and also informational as it is all part of the process and good for our individual cars.

Registry adds value
Registry adds to the history
Registry adds records of each owner
I’ll post Registry form very soon then you can send your favorite picture and car history via email. I will add appropriate email address upon adding form!

Hey, it’s fun.
I thank you for your support before hand.
Jeff

The SAAC registries actually are not showing any MK IV (or related) section because the SAAC decided just to have period 60s cars in.

So as I understood from former infos, distributed by Ned and the SAAC, all other later cars (like MK IVs) will not have a registry at all inside the SAAC.

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler!

Correct, they have broken out the cars separately Mustangs GT350, MKII, MKIII, GT40's etc.....

They have asked me to keep track of MKIV, they gave me the form which Ill attach best I can

Think there is a drive to simplify the process, not totally sure.  The MKII book is out and the GT350 book is out.  Soft cover and easily printed thus cheaper to make and keep current.

Assume similar over time for the rest ?? Cannot make a registry if there is no information after the last book came out.  Worse case we can make our own as long as there is interest and a desire.

OK then, let's start a registry for the MK IV again. Is there some better form existing, like the pic but as a pdf?

I will check my old mails to see what I sent in the past to the former SAAC registrar for MK IVs.

Thanks for the reminder!
Here we go with version #1
Hope it attached so it is useable....

Be sure to send it back to me at jdgagnon1@juno.com so that I can register.
I will try and create a digital registry for all to see as we progress....  maybe we can add it to this thread or site ?
I can collate word docs/pics and create a book we can print annually or every other year if there's interest...

Are you sure that you want to post these information in a public forum where everybody in the world can read it?

Well outside of my name and region there is nothing personal?
I was asked by SAAC to take over after I tried to register my car, if the group has no interest I will drop it and it will end with the current info in the last book..
All the VIN#, original configuration is already known as its already in the last SAAC publication.  To which MKI, MKII, and MKIII use similar information.

Here is an article about Bill Gise, more shared here....  I must be missing something.

Hi Jeff,

I think Peter and Keith just wanted to explain that the share of personal information here in the open forum should be handled with care.

The forum is open to everybody, so in my opinion both wanted to remind us that a filled form like yours should not be shown here.

I will send my filled form to You directly as I did it years before to update the car details in the SAAC registry.

Uwe

Uwe.

You have it in one.

Jeff

The ACOC run Registers on all AC 's  produced.  These are available for reference to  ACOC members who  log in to  the members section.

I appreciate  The SAAC only record AC Cobras manufactured by AC Thames Ditton and Shelby, on all  the genuine AC  Cobras / Shelby Cobras  residing
in the  USA. , Therefore they wish  to run  a Totally  separate Register on MK1V Cobras.
The ACOC Thames Ditton Cobra Register  ( Robin Stainer ) does not include those that left Thames Ditton for USA or Shelby Cobras these are  recorded
in  the  SAAC Register.
It is important that any Register is updated regularly and is   as accurate as possible , Therefore everyone supports your venture.

All ACOC Registers are updated regularly by the relevant Registrar, and cannot be updated by anyone other than the  Official / Current Registrar and is
available only to  ACOC members.

We in the UK have strict laws regards Confidentiality,  Hence my earlier post drawing attention to the General Data Protection Act  (GDPA) Which The ACOC
has been discussed in great depth at Council Meetings  to ensure full compliance.

I will  bring the subject up for discussion  at the next ACOC Council Meeting which is this Thursday 31st October.  ( Watch this space for update )

Keith

UWE

I will keep it off line, many thanks

Keith
Ah, I am not familiar with UK Law and GDPA so thank you for the information.
Guess we in the US are more liberal that way.
Did converse with Bobby Langley on this matter, might get some US involvement.  Its a big task even though there are not all that many cars.
Appreciate your advise and council, how does one become a member to ACOC?
