Saw the car at the sale yesterday - overall looks very good. I'm sure its had a respray and is perhaps not quite as original and unmolested as the catalogue implies although it is a later car than mine and has several more 1970's details.
Still seemed a very clean usable example however looking at the website looks like it failed to sell...whole sale looks rather patchy...classic car credit crunch?

I would watch for rust in the rockers which look like they have been painted black. This is the Achilles heel for these cars! Also why would anyone relocate the brake power boosters?

Looks like CF78 did sell after all !  Sold for £53,750 inclusive of Buyer's Premium

Only other AC in the sale was Ace Bristol BE1059 which achieved £106,000

This auction was held at the Goodwood festival of speed so plenty of interest in the cars, was good to see a display of AC's along the drivers walkway.
No AC's competing, I guess most cars would have been at Classic LeMans. Seems really daft to organise two premier motoring events on the same dates.
