Presumably the $65k bid was the owner trying to create interest! I do hope it gets the restoration it deserves.

I’m VERY suspicious of that eBay listing.
Nearly 2 years after it sold on B.A.T for $65k, (which by the time you import it to the UK is pretty much £65k!) it’s on eBay for less than half, with copy ‘n’ paste of the B.A.T description AND photos...
Zero feedback seller!

Yeah... definitely scammers!!!
Their website has a NEW LISTING FOR a 1958 ASTON MARTIN

...which bares striking similarities to this B.A.T 2012 ASTON MARTIN ad
