1929 AC Tourer at Amelia Island Concours 2019
« on: March 19, 2019, 13:55:00 »
Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance is one of the top in the world, so it was nice to see a 1929 AC entered this year. This being the 5-seater open-tourer, that was part of the John Moir Collection, sold by RM Sotheby's at Hershey in 2014. It is one of only two surviving 6-cylinder five-seater tourers. The car suffered a fire since the sale, but has now again been been brought back to the highest standard by Automotive Restorations of Connecticut.

Edit - Couldn't resist another photo of this car (taken before the fire incident), exhibited at Lime Rock Concours, CT:

Here's the only other AC open-tourer from the vintage period that survives - this one a year older than the one above (from 1928). Looking very good also!
