Replacing Aceca Rear windscreen
« on: April 30, 2008, 03:24:22 »
Can anyone tell me if replacing the Perspex rear screen on an Aceca is a 'do-it-yourself' job, or is it best left to a professional glass installer? If it's a DIY job, does anyone have the steps to follow about how best to remove the old screen, installing the new screen, etc.? Has there ever been an article in ACtion covering this? Thanks for any help.

As a follow up to anyone who might be in the same situation, I just had the rear screen installed by my local professional for $85, money well spent. Only took about 30 minutes to do the whole job. I watched the entire process, and while it could be done by the individual, you would need several special tools to do the job correctly, and then add in the frustration factor, and I'm glad I took this to a pro.
