Ace / Moss box gear lever
« on: November 19, 2018, 09:20:06 »
Good morning,

I'm in almost a desperate need of a gear lever or gear stick for my Moss box.

If anybody got one for sale or knows about one that might be I would love
to hear from you.

Kind regards

Jonas

Maybe I should clarify! I only need the stick itself, no need for the metal "turret"...

Kind regards

Jonas

You might find one in AC Club Spares List!

Robin,

Thanks for the tip. Does anybody know if a current list exists online?

Thanks Jonas

Hi Jonas,

just have a look at "Small Ads" on the starting site of this forum. Please look for yourself - not much time in the moment.

If you are not succesful, I will have a look on my spare compartement  8)

It's so many years ago, but I hope you've had a good time in Sweden????  ;)

There is a list on the Members section of the web site, a gearbox top is listed under Saloon/Buckland. Contact Steve Hall
You may also ask Richard Hudson who may have one UK Phone number  44 1757618467

Robin,

Thanks. Sorry but I can't find the list you are referring to. Regardless I'll email Steve Hall for sure.

Thank you.

Chris,

Sorry can't find anything under the "small ads" headline. Maybe I could kindly ask you to have a look
in your spares compartment!? :)

All's fine in Sweden at the moment, just a little cold at the moment!

I hope you are also doing well.

I've enclosed two image from earlier this year.

Regards

Jonas

The Spares List is here:

Members' Area -> Model Directory -> Spares (from dropdown menu)

Get in touch with Billy Bellinger or his dad at JB Sports Engineering (http://jb-engineering.co.uk/). The firm specialises in Morgans, but as many examples use Moss boxes they have become Moss experts (company 4x4 has reg MO55BOX) have quite a lot of spares and can get parts remade (at a price!). They also offer rebuilds and all-synchro conversions. I had a look around a few months back and a long chat to them, I was favourably impressed and intend to have my box fettled there in due course. Can't guarantee that they will have what you want but they are definitely a good starting point.

Norman,

Thanks for the kind suggestion. Funnily enough I have a gearbox at Billy’s
at the moment but unfortunately they haven’t got any gear lever for an Ace.

I have found a 2 litre lever, so I’ll try to change that into an Ace one.

Thanks. Jonas
