Replacing Speedo cable
« on: August 07, 2022, 13:06:04 »
Guys,  there is no Speedo cable fitted to my  Aceca, AC engined car. I have had a cable made.  Do I need to remove the seats and gearbox tunnel to fit it?

Thanks
Chris

Chris,

I’ve got an Ace from 1954 and I don’t know if they differ in this respect but on my car I indeed have to remove the seats and the transmission tunnel to get to tighten the cable on the angled drive.

Hi Jonas,  thanks for responding.  I had a good look around and couldn’t see where the cable went so thought that maybe the case that it was under the tunnel.  Oh well,  will keep me busy tomorrow.  I will let you know how I get on
