Anyone have a clue as to where I might get an original gas tank for an Ace Bristol?

Not sure, try Steve Grey. I have an old one if you want to copy, quit a simple design, let me know.

Lee, I asked about repairing my gas tank on the forum a while back and received this response which includes a source for aluminum tanks that are being made inb the UK. Here is a link to the thread;
   http://www.racecar.co.uk/acoc/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=138

   Not sure if it was in the thread, but the maker of the aluminum tanks ships to XKs unlimited in San Luis Obispo, Cal. FWIW, I resealed my tank as suggested and it has held up for over a year now with no problems.

Thanks guys.  My car has been a race car for a long time, and has a cell in the trunk.  I race and rally it as well, and don't necessaarily wnt to change it, but I've thought about having a stock configuration cell made up.

   How can I get in tough with Dave Sanderson?

   Thanks again,
   Lee

Lee,
   About a year ago on ebay (in the US) there was a fuel cell for sale for an Ace that was the same configuration as the original Ace gas tank except it required filling though the center of the trunk area. I believe it was an ATL, so if you wanted a cell that was the same shape as the original they may still have the plans for it.
