My MKIV is a 1986 model with little rubber bumpers on the front bumper overrides. I figure this was to meet US specs. Anybody else with rubber bumpers? Any more info?

They are a VERY special item...............................they are truck dock bumpers! Notice the two holes that have been filled with silicone? And that the back has been ground concave to fit the bumper upright? Brian added these to help impart a willingness to adhere to the "spirt" of the US bumper regs. Most owners peeled 'em off (they are only glued on with RTV silicone that peels right off the stainless bumpers)and tossed 'em so genuine AC MK IV bumper rubbers are hard to find. I just happen to have a lifetime supply.

[8D]Thanks MK IV! I went in my garage, pulled back the cover, pushed on the bumper and it came off. The second one was a little tougher. Now I have more stuff to add to my MKIV collection.

I found a pair in the boot of my 87 when I got it last year.
