A98 Coupe nearing completion

I see that Steve Gray at Brooklands is half way to completing both an A98 Coupe from scratch and a racing version. Both are out of aluminium and one appears to be based on a later chassis while one is virtually identical to the original. I here that he is using the Roush engine and Aston Martin Vanquish box with the manual coversion. When I was there, one was half way complete with the body buck sitting next to the car and the work being transferred off the buck as he progresses. With that Roush V8 it will be nearly twice the BHP of the original!!!
   
   Can't wait to see these cars finished. They should have been built years ago.

I wonder if he made his own body buck or used the original from Maurice Gomm?

Ahhh it was you who got them eh! I have managed to get copies so all is ok. I have some I bought in France that I have never seen anywhere else so still happy. More happy when my Steve finishes my Coupe though!!!

No, it wasn`t me, I was just watching...I didn`t expect them to go that high! Good job getting copies though.
   I`ve always thought that this is SO much prettier than the Shelby or Willment Coupé`s, my Dad saw it at Le Mans in `64 (his photo of a98 & Shelby Coupé in Trevor Legate`s "40 Years" book)so it will be great to see it finished.
