Yep got another 2 Litre in a fairly sorry state to have a go at, body and frame look fairly ok with some work to do, long term project, once I've finished my current one (not long now). Chassis EH2083 original reg MDB1 (reg  long since disposed of).

Well done Gary you can never have too many!!. That's a late one, the registration issued in Stockport July 1957. Would be interesting to know the first owner. Tony.

I have some info from the seller. as follows

   Chassis EH 2083
   date reg. 26/6/1955
   colour  Pacific green
   interior Beige
Purchased new by a Mr A Timpson

If the reg was issued in 1957 maybe was not original to the car when first reg'd would be good to find out.

As to "can't have too many" the wife seems to have a differing view "not another one" comes to mind.

I am sure if it was shoes, handbags, jewelry, dresses, hats, etc etc that would be ok!! [:D]

Good evening Gary. That MBD reg is Northampton June 1955. Still quite a late one. Where did you find it and what's needed to do on it. Look forward to hearing more. Tony.

Hi Tony

Hi cheers well that ties in with reg date as above.

It rather found me, as I was talking to a fellow AC owner who offered it to me as a resto. It does need quite a bit of work, ie no engine/box no nose cone/grille, wings and bonnet are on the way, he only had so much room on his transporter. The interior will need a good sort out. etc a long term project me thinks. As to engine will probably go the way of triumph six cylinder and auto box. The Triumph engine is easy to install as per my current car.

The old owner is hopefully digging out some old registration documents so I can take on the DVLA and get it registered. I now know the old reg was sold off and now is on an Audi, so will have to get it registered with an age related plate. It appears it was taken of the road sometime in the 60's and has not been on DVLA books for years and if not registered with DVLA since 1973 will probably have to get re reg'd. However if any one has managed to register a car  they are going to rebuild before all the associated costs only to find out DVLA wont play ball let me know. I know all about the 8 point rule re vehicle ID. Also do we as a club have someone that can verify the vehicle id for the DVLA paperwork V765.  Any assistance helpful

Evening Gary
Take some pictures of it before you start to pull it apart and then the DVLA will arrange an inspection but they won't if it is several boxes of bits, they want inspect a complete unrestored car
They like to see the original no plate on the car and the chassis plate in the photos
From the factory records it looks as though it should have a CL engine fitted if it has you are a lucky man!
