I am looking for information about my ace BEX329
   - the car was shipped to ac imports in Arlington, Virginia but there is no mention of the first owner
   - the history file mentions that the car was returned to the factory and received some modifications for racing (side exhaust, link between steering box and frame). Would potential AC archive have more details?
   - the car was subsequently owned my Bob Fergus and maintained by his race shop but I have no details on its potential racing history

   Many thanks for your help

Hi Philippe
Sure you know this Hofmann's message on the net
   www.hofmanns.co.uk/car-sales/ac-ace-bristol-roadster
I may have the January 20, 2012 Gooding catalogue where the car reportedly sold for US$ 231,000
I'd love to know what you can learn on BEX 329
   Happy motoring

   Philippe  & Antoine

I have a series of pictures in my pictorial  "Ace " reference library  dated 2010 and 2011 when BEX329 was owned and partially restored  by Robert Pass,  ( PostWar Classics?).
I believe Robert moved it on in order to buy a genuine AH 100M.
(Robert also owned the REAL  GENUINE BEX404, not the copy/imposter)

Pictures of BEX329 dated 2010 confirm  it was a  dark Blue/Green colour then in 2011 was painted  Light Blue metallic and associated with Anamera.
Next batch of pictures refer to BEX329 as 240UYL and are dated 2014/2015 and are associated with Hoffman's.
Not sure if this is helpful or may cause confusion.[?]
May I Suggest you contact Tim Isles the Official ACOC Ace Bristol Registrar who may confirm additional information and possibly  clarify / substantiate the above details.[:)]
Good Luck with your quest for History especially race history of BEX329 [;)]

Hi Keith, Antoine,

Thank you both for your input. I would love to get a copy of the pictures you have prior to the Hofmann's sale.

There's a fair amount of information on the internet about Bob Fergus but nothing pertaining to an AC, mostly MGTC, AH 100, Porsche 550.

He apparently remained active in vintage racing until his death in 1999.

Hi Kelly    yes that's it   I spoke to Robert Pass and he was trying to dig in his files. He got the car from Bob Fergus and restored it partially changing the paint back from green to the original blue
He was a closed friend of Bob Fergus and I hope that he will be able to find some of the missing pieces
