Brooklands road wheel
« on: April 20, 2017, 18:49:44 »
I have had a contact from South Africa asking for help in contacting John Abel. the phone number in Action seems to be wrong!

Basically a customer of a preparation business there is looking for an alloy Brooklands Mk1 road wheel to help a restoration.

Anyone have any ideas where a wheel might come from please, and I can pass the info on?

Hens teeth I'm afraid Alex.

Wheels were made by OZ racing and called "Exclusive" this pattern does appear on Ebay from time to time but I've never seen the correct size listed - mostly they're 4 stud to suit VW's.

The early Ace wheels used a plastic centre trim which breaks-up, the later (1996) cars use a cast Aluminium version which is more robust.
The centres appear to be the same for all wheel sizes and do occasionally crop up on ebay.

Have you tried emailing John ?
