Lost Aceca
« on: December 31, 2016, 16:06:20 »
Copied from a Facebook post from a Guy looking for his dads old race car...
I found out from the registry the car is BE719

Hi guys and a happy 2017 to you all. I'm on bit of a mission and you might be able to help me.
I'm trying to find out if my dad's old race car still exists. I'm afraid it's not quite a cobra, but if you like a cobra I think you will like this.
It's a 1959 ac aceca, originally Bristol engined, disc braked car. Red in colour.
Dad had converted it to rack and pinion, fitted a ford 260 v8 onto a jaguar overdrive gearbox. And club raced and sprinted through early to late 60's before having to sell.
He's never heard or seen the car since. Dads nearly 90 now and I would love to be able to tell him what happened to it
I don't know the chassis number only the number plate in the picture.
The picture was taken outside his garage. Westhill service station in Brookwood. The dog in the picture was his great Danes ceaser who used to love riding in the back of the car.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Oooh yeah, the Cobra Coupé AC should have built! That's one businesslike Aceca; love it, but I don't think I've seen it before.
