AC Steering Wheel Centre
« on: May 28, 2007, 15:32:46 »
Can any one suggest where I might be able to obtain an original pattern AC logo steering wheel centre or cap? I am after the plastic type that was fitted to the Mk II /III and AC 289.  I bought one from Finish Line in the US but it is an aluminium billet with an AC sticker on it rather than the original moulded plastic item.

I have found a source in the US.  Reproductions but made to the original pattern 30 years ago.  I have ordered a sample to have a look at the quality.

Peter,
Hopefully the pictures are attached.  It is a tough item to photograph properly!  The item I received seems indistinguishable for the original part.  The two small items in the plastic bag are the metal clips that retain the cap in the centre of the steering wheel.
