Lucas GA4 magneto

I have a Lucas GA4 magneto on Ebay at the moment. It was found in my father's garage whilst clearing things out. I have no idea of it's condition. He used to own an AC Royal and I think it may have been a spare. I wonder if the knowledgeable might have a look on Ebay and reply to this post as to whether or not it is right for an Anzani engine? If anyone is interested in buying it, please contact me and I will remove it from Ebay as I would prefer that it went to a club member. I should have thought of this before putting it on Ebay, but clearing out Dad's thing's has left me in a bit of a tizz!

That would be most kind of you. It has 6 days to run. I am more interested in it finding a good home, rather than lining my pockets

Have received advice that other people with Anzani engined AC cars have the GA4 fitted.

It's a common mag that is also used on Morris, MG's, Rovers and others. It's likely it was for your Dad's Anzani-engined AC - it would work OK, looks to have the right coupling, so only rotation would need checking. If it's been lying around in the garage, especially if damp, it may well need a service, even a rebuild. A number of companies offer that specialised service. Pity no-one with a 4-cylinder has been in touch....but it will sell alright.
