Hi-tech, sans drive-train to get around emissions. Drive-trains are then fitted by approved persons in the US e.g. Hillbank, Olthoff, etc.

From what I've read on 'Club Cobra', the aluminium cars are built by Kirkham.

That's correct for those that choose the alloy bodies, one would presume the rolling chassis is shipped over
