MotorWeek's "retro review" of the Autokraft MkIV
« on: April 09, 2015, 15:02:39 »
Back in 1986, PBS's long-running MotorWeek TV show did a special "retro review" of four 1980s exotic cars, including the then-new Autokraft MkIV Cobra.

Watch the whole thing, or jump ahead to the 20:40 mark for the Autokraft segment.

The MkIV featured in this program is a rather unusual colour. Can anyone ID the specific car number?  Is it AK1087?

Brian,

I doubt it is 1087. When that episode was filmed we were to provide a car however the car we intended to use was sold so Clinton Ford stepped in with a replacement. The car we sold was in the 106X range and was a fresh arrival so I think 1087 would have been later. Trevor should be able to look up what units went to Clinton and find it. I have a list of the colors that Clinton ordered someplace so it should be possible to narrow down the possibilities.
