Valve failure
« on: September 10, 2014, 01:11:32 »
Fellow ACECA/ACE owners -

I have a D2 Bristol that sadly suffered a valve failure during the Monterey Reunion races last month.

The engine had about 6 sessions on it and over-revving was not an issue.

The engine has now been torn down to investigate the extent of the damage.

The tip of the valve snapped off at the keeper.  Very strange failure.  Anyway, I am not going to wait for the others to fail.

Can anyone recommend where I can purchase valves for a D2 race engine?

   Thanks in advance!
   Rob
