National Day, Ickworth House 17th August 2014

Plans are progressing well for the 2014 National Day to be held at Ickworth House on the 17th August, this is the clubs second visit to Ickworth the first taking place in 1999.

Ickworth has a Cafeteria and a Picnic area as well as the usual National Trust Shop and facilities, there will be a £5.00 entry fee per car (ACOC members driving AC's) and this charge will allow ACOC members full access to the grounds and entry to our club Concours competition.
The House & Rotunda will be open to the public on the 17th although there will be an additional charge for those wishing to enter.

Concours of Elegance, Hampton Court Palace.

The ACOC has been invited to show two of our cars at the prestigious Concours of Elegance to be held at Hampton Court Palace on the 6th September 2014.

It is envisaged that invitations to this event will be extended to the overall and class winners at our own, rather less formal, Suffolk National Day on the 17th August.

This is a great opportunity for the very best of the AC marque to be shown on the wider stage, if any member has an interest in coordinating our participation please get in touch with Andy Shepherd or myself.

   Regards,

In terms of Concours of Elegance, I signed up for the Octane Tour from Cliveden House to Hampton Court - another way to arrive with a satisfactory smile on our proud AC owner's face. Let me know if you want more details on how to sign up for this tulip route.

The 17th is fast approaching so a brief reminder.

Ickworth House, Horringer, Bury St Edmunds IP29 5QE

The National Trust have granted us permission to park our AC's on the grass to the front of the Rotunda, rather than the field to the rear, arrivals will be directed by ACOC signage and a club steward wearing a reflective jacket to your respective parking area.

Non AC's (with the exception of some invited Tojeiros) will be directed to the main car park.

Suggested arrival for around 10.30 with judging, for those showing their cars, from 12.00

Awards presentation planned for around 3.30pm but as with most things AC, timings may be a little flexible.

Entry fee of £5.00 per AC payable to the aforementioned club steward.

Cafe and NT shop on site, access to House at additional charge.

Hopefully the weather will be kind for us.

   See you on Sunday,

Well done David and Team, An excellent day out, and the sun shone too. I counted 40 AC Cars, and a good time was had by all. Thanks, Andy.

Shoulders down and Chill out !!

All your time and effort in preparing The ACOC  Weekend National certainly paid off,  Bit of a wet start on Sunday but your words with him upstairs and with Jean Marc worked and brought out the Sun.[8D]

Great Event, Great Company and a Great Venue....[;)]

Couldn't make the tour, lunch and vinyard, But the tulip directions  must have been good as everyone returned safely on Saturday night for Dinner.[:)]..
You learnt from the French International..No Deviations en-route..[^]

   Thanks for great weekend.
