I am trying to purchase a small engine part for my car which is on Ebay in the States (Michigan). It is a very important engine component and is quite rare to see for sale. Unfortunately the seller won't ship outside of the States.
   Would any member of the ACOC, based in the States, be prepared to take delivery of the part and then ship to me in the UK?
   I would be very grateful! I will of course send necessary funds to cover the shipping costs.

Have you asked him directly by E-bay question about shipping to Europe????????
   Sometimes us-citizens are are bit lazy - they think USA is the whole world (which is not true).
   However they are open minded if it comes to a good sale price - Money makes the world go around :-))
   I never had a problem if you execute by PayPal incl. shipping cost to Europe.

Thanks very much to you all for kindly offering to help with the shipping. It's this kind of support that makes this club special.
   
   I have unfortunately discovered a problem with the part I was so keen to purchase. The issue is as follows, maybe someone could advise?
   
   I am interested in purchasing a brand new Powerdyne supercharger. It is quite rare because firstly it's new, but also it is beautifully polished and I thought it would help to dress my engine.

   The Superblowers were fitted with Powerdyne's, hence my interest in this item.
   
   However, following research last night, I have realised that the one offered is anti-clockwise rotation, which were I understand fitted to 1996 onwards Mustangs?? whereas the Mustangs 89-95 had clockwise rotation superchargers.
   
   I therefore think this one is not compatible with my engine.
   
   I don't think there is any way round it, but I would be open to any advice.

   You are right about the special nature of support that the club provides.
   
   Have just checked the blower in my car.   It is a BD11 and rotates in a clockwise direction ( when viewed from the front).   Apparently the difference between an 11 and 11a is confined to the 11a having better bearings.
   
   If the one on offer ( which does look nice and shiny) runs counter clockwise would you  end up with a "Supersucker"?
   
   Some of the web sites indicate that the direction is reversible - though I have not found any references to how this is achieved.  One of the US companies (928 Motorsport, etc.)  that specialise in reworking Powerdynes may be able to provide good advice?

While perhaps not as pretty, check the type that sits in engine gallery and is belt driven as well, not sure of nomeclature...perhaps Roots type?

The other option is you gear everything up to turn this in the anticlock  direction--ie water pump and alternator & belt snake pattern. My CRS due to a stroked 1969 302 turns everthing the opposite way to a standard CRS/Superblower mustang direction.

I recall reading about a company making a reversing mounting to fit superchargers to Honda engines, whether this is a route that could be used for the Powerdyne might be worth investigating.

   Peter, you are quite right, the difference between the 11 and 11A is in the bearings which support the impellor shaft.
   
   I am really gutted that the supercharger on offer is counter rotation.It would have otherwise been perfect.
   
   From what I have read on a number of forums the Powerdyne blowers don't have a great reputation for reliability. I understand the impellor shafts were prone to flexing resulting with the internal belts snapping. I believe the 11A was a big improvement and helped to eliminate/reduce those problems.
   
   On the positive side, I'm glad I looked closely into this supercharger ()spec before I placed a bid!!
   
   Incidentally Peter, it's as a result of viewing some of your engine bay/supercharger images, that I was able to identify a difference to the one on offer!
   
   I have considered the roots type charger, however I wanted to keep the engine bay as close to the Superblower spec as I reasonably could on my own car.
   
   I don't think re-pulleying all my assessories would be feasible or a cost effetive option.
   
   The Powerdyne's fitted to the Superblowers are mounted in such a position they are very close to the engine bay/wing (fender) edge.
   As such, any change in the mounting position may result in the supercharger either no longer fitting into the engine bay or not aligning with the throttle body hose.
   
   There seems to be a number of issues I can think of if I were to try to modify the counter clockwise blower to make it a clockwise blower. I think it would need a different impellor(opposite curve on the vains), also the outlet counter-clockwise spiral casing would need replacing with a clockwise spiral. And of course where the outlet is positioned has to be right to pick up the hose to the throttle body. After such modifications, I think it would need to be professionally re-balanced etc.
   
   I think I'll keep my eyes open for another 11A Powerdyne; clockwise rotation and ideally - polished. If any of you find one, please let me know!!

   As with Peter`s car my Superblower`s Powerdyne BD11 runs clockwise pulleyside, however the ebay view of the rear intake side showing the impellor would be running anticlockwise and sucking as required.
