Differential Ratio
« on: January 30, 2014, 18:52:00 »
Dear all,

Can anyone advise me as to what the differential ratio is on the Superblower - as fitted in the factory?

And is there a way that I can confirm the differential gearing fitted to my car by reference to any markings on the case?

   Many thanks

There is always the jack up the car , turn a wheel in the forward direction, count the driveshaft revolution in one turn of the drive wheel and do the math. Did it that way in the hot rod days here in the colonies,

Gary, my differential had a little sheet part with one of the fixation bolts bolted to the rear housing, and the ratio was stamped into it.  Took me a while to find, as it was all painted black and bend to the housing.

Gary,

   My Superblower handbook states 3.31:1

Thanks fellas for your contributions.

I will look for a sheet tag on the rear diff.

Paul, I read a promotional broucher for the Superblower which stated the 'final drive' was 3.31:1, so I'm thinking that my be it.

   Many thanks
