I bought this brochure, and thought it could be of interest for you... I own others, but this one has more pages and some interesting pictures of the workshop :

Some of the workshop piccies - I meant I went unpaid (as usual) by AC back in the day. Uploading photos or scans of a brochure is free!! But thinking about it, I may well have given permission to use them as Brian Angliss was usually helpful when it came to alowing factory access with my camera and notebook. Them were the days.....

The Swiss Franc was then 4 French Francs, so the car was the the equivalent of 640'000 FF or today EUR 128'000 (1 EUR = 1.25 CHF)

I happen to know the son of the period Swiss importer, I have actually gathered a lot of original goodies (as you can see he was a fan of merchandising products... and you haven't seen the Cobra roll-up pocket sunglases yet !). Anyone interested in some original AK parts ?

thanks SwissAKL ... the funny thing is that 640,000 FF are 97,567€ (1 euro=6.55957FF) ! we can appreciate how the swiss Franc did get stronger between 1986 and now (or how weaker is the French economy !)...

other thought : 640,000FF in 1986 are the 2013 equivalent of 163,240 euros, according to the INSEE indicators (http://www.insee.fr/fr/themes/calcul-pouvoir-achat.asp?sommeDepart=640000&deviseDepart=Franc&anneeDepart=1986&deviseArrivee=Euro&anneeArrivee=2013) ... a lot of money, and prices are still cheaper nowadays (regarding the other discussion on MKIVs value) !
