Hmm. Something not right about about that last picture of the 428 wheel ? Did Thames Ditton change the design from the Cobra ? Those slots look rather narrow. See slots here on a 1964 TD wheel and a Moto Lita replica. If you go the Moto Lita route you can ask Simon to leave the non original Moto Lita engraving off and then their wheel is exact and beautifully made.

Ditto what Barrie says, but if you have to have a Les Leston, how's THIS ONE on eBay?
It is a lot more expensive than a new Moto-Lita though!

Aah, well done! I hope that it`s as good as it looks in the photos, and that you are happy with it when fitted. [:)]

Siegfried & Nick,
Just had a visit from CF7 and it seems that the 428 steering wheel is different from the Cobra: There are some other pictures around of 428 interiors and all the ones I found have this narrow slot style wheel. The rim seems to be slightly thicker as well:

I must say I like the solid wood rather than riveted on the 428, where the Cobra item hints of performance the CF7 wheel suggests time and effort put into the aesthetics![8D]

...Or maybe the lightness of the wider Cobra slots gave rise to gentlemen`s cufflinks or ladies charm bracelets being caught in their trap, an issue unlikely to arise at opposite lock around a circuit?![:o)]

Hi Siegfried, the original AC wheel is a Leston wheel, Jeffrey and I did the research and posted it on this site years ago. See my post!
