Mk IV Windshield
« on: August 05, 2013, 22:35:05 »
I have a Solaglas windshield on my car.  I am not certain if it is original to the car or was ever replaced, but as I have most of the service records and did not find one related to the windshield, I imagine it is likely original.  It is fairly well pitted overall, and there is a good size chip in my line of site.  I tried to have one of our large U.S. windshield companies repair it (they can sometimes fill chips in and make them much better) but that attempt was unsuccessful.

Can anyone provide a possible lead to finding the proper size replacement windshield for the car?  A U.S. source would be best if possible, but if needed, I will import from overseas.  There are many Cobra replicas in the U.S., but I believe that the windshields of those cars are not necessarily the same as the Mk IV as the frame sizes (thus glass) may differ.

Try here. They're in North Carolina and indicate they have parts for both original and replicas:
