Louis

BEX1205 was Green when Bertrand Bought it and it left the Factory Silver, Don't recall it being Yellow. Could be wrong...[;)]

Not the most  poopular colour, However I know of six LHD  Ace Bristol's that have worn various shades of yellow.

   BEX155 /  BEX234 /  BEX278 /  BEX409 / BEX450 &  BEX1209.

Most  being in USA, Hopefully  Tony Bancroft can confirm the ID,
My money is on BEX278,  But I think I would phone a friend before giving my final answer.

   Great find, Jay. [:D]
Here are a couple of pics from the second link to the Autosport Forum:

...the first of which answers questions I had about the front of an Ace that appeared on the cover of an SCCA program I was emailed recently, AEX93. The forum states: "...Duncan Forlong recieving the Checkered Flag...at Dunellon Park Road race. The car is all black with a lot of tape on the bonnet..." Well, that`s one way to prevent stonechips!
   Here`s the SCCA program,

And, believe it or not, how AEX 93 looks now!

OK, it might not help your resale value, but no-one is going to mistake your car for another one at shows!
(And YES, the wheels on the other side ARE RED!!!)

   * Several photos improved or added, 28/06/12

   Correction

Please note that since the pictures of AEX93 published above in 2010, research confirms  that Duncan Forlongs Ace as depicted in B & W pictures is definitely AEX93 and has since been sold via R&M
in March 2011, a very original Ace but fitted with a Bristol engine.

The Sale of AEX93 resulted in further research, which concludes that Ron Mulacek's Yellow / Blue & Red Ace is infact AEX94.
This is substantiated by Ron locating number 94 under the paint on the hinges .

Additional research by Tim Isles tracing history of AEX93 and AEX94 also confirmed one car being East Coast whilst the other a West Coast Car.

Both Ace AEX93 and AEX94 now run a Bristol 100D2 spec engines.
