CSX3153 is an original Thames Ditton (or 1960s Shelby if you will) chassis number. It might as well be original given the 500 000 / 600 000 € estimate. Moreover, the car is stated to have rolled out of the workshops of AC Cars on July 24, 1965 and sold to Hayward Motors in California on February 8, 1966.

Yep, but I was wondering, as nearly all the parts were changed (body, engine, etc), and as they were talking about Autokraft, it may have been the "old chassis left" tale [;)]... Thanks !

The car wasn't sold on last week-end auction (whereas an ally Shelby continuation was, at k€119 [;)] )...

Nope... Artcurial's website only mentions  it was not sold: http://www.artcurial.com/fr/asp/fullCatalogue.asp?salelot=2138+++++159+&refno=10400380

strange statement by the auction house:
" The car on offer is the twentieth in this series and comes in a red colour, with black leather interior. As was customary on the «continuation» series, Shelby's signature is on glove box lid and the model has a few detail changes from the original 427, including independently sprung rear wheels. Extremely rare, this example has covered barely 150 miles and it comes in a superb condition."

So would that have been built after CSX6024 & CSX6025, mentioned on the Shelby Forums? [;)]

According to Computerworks: "It's just a numerical change. [Shelby] have been reserving the unused low CSX4xxx numbers for aluminum replicas...and used the high-end for the 'glas cars (CSX4750 and up).
Running out of high-end numbers, [Shelby] just continued with assignments in the CSX6xxx range. Same cars, just different series of numbers.

Nothing 'AC' about this Shelby Continuation and not that rare - Shelby American is churning out grp and aluminium bodied cars year after year.
