This Cobra 'Continuation' is now on sale at EPA 'European Prestige Automobiles' who are using the same, potentially misleading advert, as the previous dealer 'Private Collections'
http://www.epaclassics.co.uk/ The car is being advertised as a 1966 Cobra AC Mk111 LHD 'rebuilt and refurbished by AC Cars in early 2000s'. No price quoted, as usual, but previously advertised at £220k.
The facts are rather different. I understand from 'those in the know' that COX 5012's body and chassis were built by AC Cars at Frimley around 2002/03, Steve Gray of Brooklands Motor Company put the body on the frame and the car was completed by Gerry Hawkridge around the end of 2004.
I also understand that dealers selling this car over the past few years have been made fully aware of the facts. So very much a case of 'Caveat Emptor' and insist on a hefty discount if you like the car! [
