Oil filter question for AC engine
« on: November 10, 2011, 11:20:29 »
I've recieved an email from a chap in Palm Springs, California who wants to change the oil filter on his 1955 Aceca with AC engine. He would like advice on which filter to use and where to obtain one. If anyone can give me a reference or recommendation for any of the following brands: Coopers Fiaam, Fram, Crosland, Ac Delco, Motorcraft, Bosch, Purolator and Purflux.

Thanks for your help - John.

I use a Crosland 637 spin on filter cartridge which is a 15 micron full flow type, you can obtain the houings which are made in USA anyway & the standard in/out type ar not expensive.
My filter design incorporates the pressure relief valve, but the existing AC system he has can be used as is.
   Hope this assists
