Market watchers should be aware, however, that confirmed results, including any after-sales, had not been published by the auctioneers by the time that this report and data were filed.

So, at £67,000, it seems that outside of RM auctions the typical hammer price for a coupe is £60-70,000, inside RM's rooms the price escalates to £100,000! Curious.

So few cars ever come to market, it is actually very difficult to predict how they will do. Someone may be willing to pay more because it's the right car at the right time! I bought mine knowing well that it was not perfect. It was the right body style, a roadster in the right color, BRG. Where would I have been able to find another?

Many people present expressed their surprise at the general level of prices during the 29th October 2009 RM Auction. At £100K, CF66 looked complete but, with much corrosion evident, seemed ready for a complete makeover. An 'Oddjob' Mercedes Pulman, in very poor condition and, according to one restorer, worthy of £10K for complete restoration, went under the hammer at circa £240K ...........
