Early Aceca windscreen
« on: July 13, 2021, 01:41:53 »
Hello All;
   Our '57 Aceca, BEX627 needs a new square cornered windscreen. Jim Feldman was kind enough to send one, but it arrived damaged. Any help or suggestions? We are in the San Francisco area. All the best, RB

You may know by now, but I thought Brasscraft in the UK did them?

Hi, Old School Windscreens, Longcross, Chertsey, Surrey have supplied both early & later screens in the past, but freight was always at purchasers risk, I always collected. Alternatively if you have an old screen to use as a template you can cut the glass you need out of a larger screen which has the same curvature.
Hope this helps.
Regards

Thanks for everyone's help on this. We ended up going to the source. Emma at Pilkington Classics was able to send us an OEM screen in about ten weeks. Check out their web site.
Best,
RB
p.s.- anyone have a trick for half shaft slippage?

What's half-shaft slippage- exactly??
