Brake and Fuel pipe layout
« on: October 23, 2020, 07:59:35 »
I hope this post finds everybody fit and well.
We are at the stage of fitting fuel and brake pipes to a Bristol engined Ace and wondered if anybody has diagrams / plans / photos of the setup.
Any information will be as ever greatly appreciated.

If anybody has the time or inclination to take a few photos of the routings of brake and fuel lines and relevant junctions on their cars it would be appreciated.
I know there are people out there that own an Ace and that i am not the only one so get out your cellphones and snap away.
It would be good to have a resource of photos for future restorers.
Thanks, Luke

Right or Left hand drive? I can help with a sketch for '58 RHD Ace.

Do you have an original chassis with the clip mount holes or is it a new chassis without?

James
Lukes Ace is AEX443 LHD and running a Bristol 100D2 engine and gearbox.

Did AC Cars Ltd (Thames Ditton) ever produce a drawing detailing the routing of fuel and brake lines for the Ace and /  or early  Cobra?

Did a quick sketch of my RHD '58 layout which looks like this.

You will need the little TR2/Healey metal pipe clips to attach the pipe to the holes in the chassis. I can add the clip points if required. I have not shown the run from the reservoir to the master.

Does this get you going?
