Finally the Coupé arrived!
Here is a look at the power plant:
The output is about 0,7 MegaWatt
After weeks and weeks of waiting the Coupe arrived just in time on the day we wanted to start into our holidays! Now the last two stages of the enterprise started:
- get a german registration, which is the most difficult part of the story
- find out, if it´s useable as daily driver
There are different problems concerning daily driveability:
- noise: The Coupé is less noisy than my roadster if you are outside, but the reverberation inside the car is nerve-wrecking!
- water: when the car arrived, all the carpets were wet and there was half a gallon of water in the co-drivers seat!
- crampy seating position
- fuel consumtion
- maybe heat / air ventilation in the drivers compartment.
I´m curious, if I will sort out all the problems and what will be the result! I´ll keep you informed, hope to get the car on the road within the next two weeks.
Is anyone out the in the Cobra Worls having any experience with TMW stack injection? Maybe it is a Weber Injection; there is a Weber logo on the electronic unit and the inlet manifold dimensions are the same as the Weber Carburettor´s manifold dimensions?!
Another question: I am looking for Dave Friedmans and Peter Brocks book "Daytona Cobra Coupes". Any known source? Any offer (in this case please contact CarollShelby (at) gmx.de)?
