Hi Jam2,
as long as you promise not to publish the information I can explain why I'm not prepared to have my personal data published in a register on an open forum.
You can contact me via the forum's e-mail feature. I'm traveling at the moment but will get back to you.

Sorry "Old Crock", but the layout and information on the Bentley site is exactly what I am afraid of. If you lived where I do you would understand why. At least the registers on the AC Owners club site are restricted to members and follow GDPR requirements which is why I agreed to the terms. This forum is open to all and sundry, which I think is great, but it has its disadvantages!

I enjoy reading your contributions, so don't stop!
Have a great New Year!

For me an "open" registry" on this forum is an absolute no, something I feel strongly about.
Others are welcome to post their personal information but its not for me.
As I reside in a country which is more open than most I'm not about to share details that are best kept in a secure register such as the one the club
administers. I am willing to share my reasons but not on this open forum, the forum administrator is welcome to contact me.

A happy and prosperous New Year to you all!

As I understand it, many are only concerned about information on current car owners.

I could exclude it if the owners themselves do not show off their cars on their pages on social networks.

Your understanding is probably correct....but it still doesn't exempt you or the forum from GDPR.
For example thats why the club requests permission to store personal information when joining the club.

I agree with John. I would hope that something can be agreed with the powers that be.

.... are you proposing an open register of all AC vehicles all on this forum?
/Paho

Yes
Well Andrey I afraid I cannot agree to you publishing any individual and personal information on my AC in such a register.
/Paho

Thank you for your reaction. And if this information is already in open sources?
Hi Andrey,
the information on my vehicle on open sources that I know of, has been made anonymous with no registration information or ownership information which is as
it should be. Otherwise details were in the AC Club register (but the info. was scrambled in the last update that I am aware of). That register has controlled access and is not public.
I can see the need for upto date registers and I admire and respect your interest. Why not contact the club and offer your services?

I promised to post a picture of the dip stick I made for the hydraulic oil tank on the roof pump, but covid and the installation of a new kitchen got in the way.
Unfortunately the marks I made don't show up very clearly, so I have measured it and its 3cm to the "full mark" on the tank. I tried to double check this yesterday
and it seems correct but without removing the pump I can't be 100% sure as the level marks are hidden! (The reason why I made the dipstick!).

I think the window lowering is done by a relay in each door, passenger side on mine doesn't work.
When dismantling my hydraulic pump I noticed the oil level marked on the side of the resevoir. This can't be seen easily when the pump is fitted.
I made a dipstick using coat hanger wire to check the level. I'll post a picture with dimensions .... if and when I can find it....

I'm curious how did you remove the panel at the front of the fuel tank?

Your fuel gauge sender problem peaked my curiosity. I have a similar problem with mine, but at least the part number is stamped on mine, though I can't get the d...mn thing out of the tank! I usually try and clean the surface of the rheostat which works for a while.

I searched on AC 2 litre and found the following two sources of information, the later being useful for all AC models. They were www.ac2litre.com which gave me the link to www.holden.co.uk.

I then searched on the holden site for "fuel tank sender". Some of the items have a video explanation basic principles of how they work
e.g. https://www.holden.co.uk/p/sender_for_original_moving_coil_gauges_two_terminal_ , sender for an XK140. Didn't look for one for your AC but maybe you can do an occular comparision or give them a call? They also listed a device to match sender to gauge.

Hope this helps.

I bought Uniroyal RainSport 5 for the front in 2020, the steering felt lighter but grip was fine.

Rear tyres are a problem, I see that Toyo Proxes T1A's are still available but seem to be quite rare,
I have these on the rear and am quite satisfied. I've been looking for 17 inch OZ exclusive wheels to increase the choice of tyres but
the only one's I've found were 4 bolt and the wrong offset. I hav'nt found any other wheeels that look "right" on the car sofar but still
looking......

I agree, George Orwell wrote a parody on your quote "“Objective consideration of contemporary phenomena compels the conclusion that success or failure in competitive activities exhibits no tendency to be commensurate with innate capacity, but that a considerable element of the unpredictable must invariably be taken into account.”

Well I don't know how much you surfed on the web, but following the trail I ended up on a Swiss company's web site that produces luxury massage
armchairs, and I mean "luxury"!

So why wait for the announcement and the unpredictable, think positive and take a look at the chairs, they are available now.

One can get a feeling for the constellation behind the url if you do a search on AC cars Europe GmbH, Germany and AC Cars group AG, Switzerland. AC cars Europe has web adress link https://www.accars.eu/ which is the AC Cars (UK) Ltd web page.

Ouch,
not funny with the wiring mismatch. I wonder if this is a general problem  :-\.
Do you know which Teves version the ABS system is?
No idea I'm afraid on the parts needed to changing the micro switches or sensors on the hydraulic rams.
