General Forum / 3000ME Owners Day, Brooklands Museum
« on: May 18, 2007, 23:34:27 »
For any owners attending in their AC this Sunday 20 May we have secured 20 places in the Paddock. (For a static display)

   Entrance is from 10am onwards.

Please note; use the Brooklands Road entrance on the B374. DO NOT follow the brown signs to Mercedes Benz World as you will be on the wrong side of the river.

General Forum / Leaded petrol sites in England & Wales
« on: October 22, 2006, 21:47:14 »
I still use leaded petrol and came across this web site:

   http://www.leadedpetrol.co.uk/leadedpetrol.pdf

I buy my leaded petrol from one of the sites mentioned and its about £1.36 a litre.
The rest of this site is interesting as well,

General Forum / Ecosse Signature
« on: August 28, 2006, 10:41:57 »
Help please on where is the car(s) now? It was reported that on the demise of AC (Scotland) the Ecosse prototype was purchased and completed by the ACOC Competition Secretary. As a member of the ACOC for just over six years this was before my time, may I ask who was the Comp Sec at that time if this information is true?
Back in 2003 it appears Phil Bevan owned the red Ecosse, is this correct?
Reason for the request is to complete reseach into the history of the ME.

General Forum / Driving Tests, North Weald Airfield
« on: April 29, 2006, 22:57:04 »
Firstly, a vote of thanks to Bryan and his team for their efforts in the construction of this web site. Well done!

I hope that now we have this site and especially this Forum we can make/ensure that news can be posted quickly. A fine example happened today - the day of the Driving Tests. It was not until I had queued in the 1.5 mile stream of traffic entering North Weald Airfield, (passing a locked Gate E, assuming a revised entry was being used), and finally being told by Main Gate Security that the event had been cancelled. Fortunately I was able to communicate that the event had been cancelled to other ME owner, Ian who was just joining the queue and he was able to re-route. (Ian and I met further down the road for lunch).
Please can 'we' ensure that this web site is used to post such news that will enable members to be aware of the most up todate information.
