Yes, the new official website since the formal foundation of AC Automotive by Jürgen Mohr and his partner Laurent Abert in 2011 from the extinct Gullwing GmbH which initiated the AC Mk VI in 2009.

Hey Mark, this is the case, one car shall be homologated in Switzerland and the rest follows, but you need a "first seed" which is still missing. Hope that mine will serve future potential interested people in Switzerland. Sera que sera.

But first things first, the European homologation shall be obtained first, that eases up the process... Well, I said eases, not speeds !

Well, well, well, guess what? The homologation is still on going and I presume that this will become the major obstacle (I speak about the European one), so still waiting.

Rob, I'm just blown, it's love, passion, and much more than that.
BTW, I will borrow your smart idea for the front license plate, the split clamps seem to be a perfect solution... Also for the ACOC emblem

Just amazed by the amount of work necessary to get the car to a stand which on one hand provides seamless functionality (what is actually supposed to be ex-work) and on the other hand matches homologation standards (which is more the pain in the neck).
So the value of this very car is growing every single day.

Rob, you shall make the inventory of all the spots of your car you did not uncover yet and place numbers 1 to 25 for the Advent calendar.

Joke by side, this is getting more than a journey, it is a walk through the stations of the cross.

The latest news is that the GM LS3 engines needs a specific catalysator for CO2 and Nx values to comply for EU and CH homologation (so the Camaro and Corvette, as predicates), so delivery is scheduled the latest for January 31, 2015. I will definitively need chains ;-)

All in all I have the easy position as Rob has to to do it himself, I let the others sweat... So Rob is the Saint !

Rob, I am just amazed of your patience with the car. You shall become a Saint.

It seems that every time you raise the blanket, a new suprise emerges. I wonder if WRM just planned a cache game with MkII owners... Find the 10 errors, and all others too.

The welding rod shall be framed in the Hall of Shame of mechanics.

Hi Rob, seem that your progress is far better than mine, and you did all that by yourself and for me a manufacturer is working at. But for DOY would not work as the car shall have an original EURO5 homologation first. Hope that the TÜV will finally deliver the necessary approval, time is now running, as EURO6 is already knocking at the door.

One big block has been already delivered in France to a customer and I saw the body of the GTSR, actually, I do not think it will take much time as homologation would definitively not be part of the sales pitch.

Well, well, well, for me the journey started 4 years ago in 2010 when I had the privilege to drive one of the first prototypes of the Mk VI (http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/first-drives/ac-mkvi) and ordered an AC Mk VI in April 2011. If you cruise through this thread you can then follow up what happened or rather what not happened since.

So again as James wisely asked: what is your level of tolerance?

So for the curious ones, under:

   http://www.manuandfuci.ch/projects.html#Heyda

I added three new pictures by courtesy of AC Automotive in Heyda, as it is a slideshow, be patient, they shall come at the end.

So this is what I ordered, I can confirm. The steering wheel is disassembled, but I hope it is already available (I presume, as the tyres have some dirt), just the chrome stoneguards are missing so far, a detail (of importance in our countryside).

As said, I entered the last lap now, and I have to admit that my "passion" has dimmed quite a few (and patience is on the reserve). I am probably getting mature. I had quite a lot of fun sharing my journey (and do not worry, you still will read me, I am not finished) with the enthusiasts, the less enthusiasts and a couple of sceptics. Here I could sense a significant bunch of sense of humour. That helped.

Anyway, the car looks awesome (probably not so awesome for the purists, I am Swiss and used to some extent to compromises) but this is not a Photoshop hoax or a 3D-Pixar-rendering.

   Mañana.mañana !
