I supplied them to AC for the last series Aces and they were standard 1993 Mustang units. You could check on line with some of the aftermarket units available. Compare dimensions and inlet/outlet position and you can get a nice alloy rad or a factory type replacement.

I have photos I took at Autokraft as well as some others that I will scan in the near future and provide to you.

Ah, yes, the "Super" which addressed ALL of the faults with the previous version. Save for that actually driving and working thing.

One more example of the finest British manufacture taking the rest of the world by storm.....or at least East Anglia.

Oh Trevor, that the frames were six inches too short was no problem for AC....they just put them in the Denbeigh Metal Stretcher machine and VOILA! Oh, gee, why couldn't they have done that for Bob Negstead when they cut his 94" "Cobra II" frame rails to 90"?

Yes, if only they could have built some "AC 289 Sports" models and used up those parts...................[:D]

Brian,

I doubt it is 1087. When that episode was filmed we were to provide a car however the car we intended to use was sold so Clinton Ford stepped in with a replacement. The car we sold was in the 106X range and was a fresh arrival so I think 1087 would have been later. Trevor should be able to look up what units went to Clinton and find it. I have a list of the colors that Clinton ordered someplace so it should be possible to narrow down the possibilities.

Do you have "stated value" insurance or "Agreed value" insurance? There is a BIG difference.

It is marketed heavily to the heavy duty diesel trade where the ability to run an engine at higher temps provides increased power and economy. I for one do not see a big enough benefit to warrant it's use in a normal road car.

The car is presently with a Car Electrician who has sorted out the wiring from the Coil pack and is now looking at trying to get the front heated screen working.
However, he has found that the drivers side window no longer works and I need to replace the motor - can anyone advise what window motor I need to purchase?

I understand the motors are Ford and most likely Sierra units. The motor will have a Ford engineering number on it that can be crossed to a Ford service part number.

Which Motor Show was that? I have the Detroit 94 Motor Show car, but doubt that's the one you're referring to. It's LHD and rarely used, so make me an offer jbottini haha

   No,

The 99 Birmingham Motor Show. The LHD Ace was repainted "Diamond Blue" as a possible tie in with DeBeers Diamonds......a marketing ploy that didn't happen. The car was to be sent to the US for us to use a demo and dealer recruitment tool.
