Has anyone tried data logging on the EEC-IV?
I did read a Bosch 1300/ snap on MT 2500 / actron elite could be used with the correct adaptor to log OBD1 data streams from the sensors feeding the EEC-IV. I don’t believe that the obd1-obd2 adapters work unless your analyser can read obd1.
I’m not interested in fault code reading as can do that, and I can also back probe the sensors with a dvm easily, but wanted in particular to look at the long and short term injector fuel trim values.

I could couple up a moates quarter horse but really just want something simple.

Hi-I am looking for a Mk-IV fuel rail pressure regulator (in UK ). Its got the triangular 3 screw base, single o ring (unlike later CRS 2 bolt 2 o ring set up).
Prefer a new one , but a functional one fine.

Has anyone fitted an after market regulator instead so  a fuel pressure gauge can be fitted?
There seems several aftermarket ones available ( i.e Kirban)

New (not used on car)  Trigo 427 6 pin alloys, (4) wheel spinners (raw finish, 2LH,2RH)  and (4) centre caps (raw finish)

Wheels
3x 15 x9.5"
2x 15 x7.5"

Would sell one of the 15x9.5" separately.

In original Trigo shipping boxes

The fronts have been machined by Trigo to have the correct offset for  the Cobra or MKiV caliper, but need spacers(or hub spaced) for the CRS 6 pots calipers as its a close fit ( I have done a trial fit up) .

Wheels in Scotland but I may be able to arrange delivery from a friend who makes regular trips south.

Is anyone using other tyres (than Avon CR6ZZ) on 15" rims (7.5 & 9.5J ) on their MkIV or CRS?

The Avons are getting very expensive   (Circa £300 for a front 245/60/15 and £360 for 275/55/15 rears)- so about £1320 for a set and they come with half the tread missing.

Alternately suggestion for a source of competitively priced Avons if such a place exists. Its a shame Blockley dont offer some competition.

I know the Avons are the choice of many but I did see these in the link below so wonder if anyone has them and can comment on suitability/performance in wet/dry?  :
https://www.roundtriptyres.co.uk/find-tyres/cooper-cobra-radial-g-t-275-60-r15-107t-rwls.html

I recall a bad experience on the 16" version on my original set on a CRS but they were 12 years old and rock hard and the car does not have the weight to effectively use them -what I dont have is experience on new ones and they must have been ok as AC put them on the new cars.

Has anyone updated  the standard rubber (#2683 & 2682)(and now old & likely perished) engine mounts (or motor mounts in the US) to  polyurethane?
Any views on them &  could you source them in the UK/Europe?

Polyurethane versions seem available from a few sources in the USA -CJPONY have own brand and also Prothane motion control , and separately Energy suspension do a set. They are the later one piece.

The original ones on my CRS and anecdotaly and alloy MKIV (confirming) have a separate plate(that attach's to engine)  that fits on to the smaller twin mount studs with  two nuts (See pictures)
or link
https://www.ebay.com/p/2-Pcs-Motor-Mount-Kit-for-Ford-Mustang-3-8l-232-Eng-Coupe-1984-Fox-Body/1765232560?iid=152046214227

From what I have read the later one piece mounts (apparently interchangeable)  are more robust (rubber) and the only option in polyurethane. The OEM separate plate style are discontinued.
Mine were torn up badly on the rearward side-its hard to spot insitu & compression, but another car I looked at was similar and will have star like hairline cracks -but how deep they run will not be known unless removed.

The mounts look to be changeable in-situ if the inner wheel arch panels are removed and the engine can be lifted to clear the main single stud from the locating slot-or perhaps removing the engine bolts and rotating out. This is yet to be confirmed -unless someone has done this and describe the procdeure.

Graham

Nice  AC Acedes six (per register) at Glamis. Unfortunately no one around to talk AC.

Very rare car/vehicle to the left on tracks--Any guesses  (I know as I owned a non tracked version)

I have decided to replace my handbrake cable  on my CRS.

I have part serviced the calipers with a seal kit from Graham  Goode racing as they are RS escort/sierra cosworth calipers on the rear--this part went well.

The handbrake cable is very similar to the Ford offering for the RS Escort /Sierra but appears to be longer  in length(3120mm) vs 2465mm on the CRS and the Ford adjusters appear plastic not metal( CRS),though the cable ends that hook over the caliper handbrake levers are the same spade like loops with holes.
They are both  a one piece item balanced over a crescent moon hoop that attaches to the hand brake lever via a pin.

Has anyone replaced a CRS hand brake cable with an off the shelf item (FORD)? I did do a thread search on this site and found little except for the Super blower that suggested it was bespoke.

Don't know if anyone saw this car. It sold very quickly. Gull wing seem to turn up some amazing timepieces-does anyone know how they do it? Several AC's sold recently by them.

I was wondering if there's an AC presence this year (2013) (15th-17th)?

Also is there any club booking discount codes?

Does anyone know what ride height they have with 16" wheel's and also with 15" wheels. I cant find  a starting point in the chassis book.

I am setting up my suspension on my CRS with  16" wheels and cant decide on an appropriate ride height, which at the moment is being dictated by the shorter springs fitted to my koni's (Set just at onset of  compression). I want to set this before adjusting the corner weights, and finalising the caster & camber.

I have read that 15" wheels increase the ride height but no "dimensions" are quoted.

I will be measuring my ride height this weekend and post up what it actually is on 16" wheels.

   Regards,
   Graham
