Chris Jaques 4/5 seater tourer is for sale. One of only two that survive it was restored some years back. Gavin McGuire has it on his website but no price is shown. It's a lovely vintage Six . For video, see here:

Also in The Automobile, the 2/3 seater registration Z1348 has resurfaced (Page 10). It was known to be in Ireland. An interesting car, likely a 12/35 on bore size. Here's my note from ACtion on it:

There are comments in the vintage register questioning why this 1928 car has smaller capacity liners
(56mm cf. 65mm) within an orthodox two-litre engine and suggesting there has been a modification
for convenience, availability or taxation limitation. However, for 1927 and 1928 the factory offered a
12-35 hp six-cylinder 2-3-seater. The taxable horsepower being 12 hp, the engine size 1484 cc and the
bore size 56.3 (56x100). I suggest therefore it is highly likely that this car is a 12-35 model and that
outwardly it would show no differences to the 2-litre Six. Autocar wrote about the model in April 1927
and The Auto in November 1927. Registration number Z 1348 has not been seen for some time.

I remember this car from 35 years ago! It was owned by a lady named Freda Palmer. It is just the same now, with original colour scheme (Green with red pinstripe) and original seating. It disappeared for some years, looks like some stripping started for restoration though it is said that all parts are there. This was a lovely car and was portrayed on the back cover of the Profile Publications booklet on the AC Six. It looks a relatively easy restoration, to return it to former glory.

Apart from being Managing Director of AC Cars, S F Edge was M.D of Cubitt Cars also. The car on the left, in the photo, is a Cubitt. They were declared bankrupt in 1925:

Although born in Tasmania, Australia, a part of Errol Flynn’s private education was in London. His acting training also was in Britain so when recommended for film work in Hollywood it wasn’t unusual that many there saw him as the archetypal Englishman and he was soon cast as a dashing character in action films.
It is said that he owned an AC, a 16/80 Competition Sports. The prewar US importer was ‘English Motor Cars Ltd’ of New York and this model, with the fastback tail (not the slab tank), was AC’s attempt to enter the American market in 1936. He may well have bough the car or the marketing may have meant that Errol Flynn was approached with an offer to use one of the cars (not unusual then, nor now) for promotion - just the right image; a sporting English car for the successful ‘English’ actor! The US venture did not prove successful however and most of the cars were returned to the factory in 1938. Photos below:

Here's a photo taken in Toronto, Canada in 1956.
The car still survives (only two of this model do) and has since been restored. It's an Anzani-engined 12/40 Sports from 1922. Each car was tested at over 70mph at Brooklands and certificates were available to each new owner. It was brought back to England in 1995 for auction, a few more owners and then sold again by Historics Auctioneers in 2016.
