I have seen the term "fly-off handbrake" used many times in reference to the parking brake on the Aces. Can anyone tell me what the term fly-off handbrake means?

Ace, Aceca & Greyhound Forum / Leaking Gas tank- How to repair?

The gas tank on my '56 Ace has started to "weep" (slow leak, but I cannot pinpoint a spot where it is leaking from) and was wondering if anyone knows how to fix these tanks. In the past I have been told Ace gas tanks were lead/solder sealed on the inside, and when they started to leak, they were very hard to fix. Any ideas from anyone? Alternatively, is any one making "new" ones or has anyone found another tank that is a satisfactory replacement? If I cannot find one anywhere, I may take mine into a fab shop and have them make one out of aluminum, but I would rather find one than get one custom fabbed.

The front end of my Ace sits a little higher that I would like and I was wondering if there is a way to lower it a bit, without removing leafs from the springs.

428 Frua Forum / Cobra Engine #s

Over the years I have seen leaf spring Cobra Engine #s that have always been 4 numerals which I assumed was a engine assembly # of some kind. Recently I saw that CSX2337 has an engine # of PA4041. Does anyone know what the PA designation stands for? Production Assembly, Pure Adrenalin, Post Adolesence,Plenty (of) Acceleration or?

Hi I am looking for a 2 speed wiper motor for my Ace and was wondering if anyone knew of what other cars might have used the same one. If there is not an intercahnge with another car, does anyone have a spare they would be willing to part with? I have 2 single speed motors that I could provide in partial trade if someone would like to trade.
