Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, they don´t have the one I am looking for. Here is a photo of the one I desire [8D]:

Looks pretty original exept wheels (should be 15"?) and probably steering wheel. Those early cars came with a T 10, 351 Windsor, Girling brakes and Mk III suspension.

I wonder why I have to look for a bigger house every ten years, maybe the reason is, I don´t throw away anything (and I always look at the bin, if my wife did and pick it out ...). Here are scans of the spec sheet and the price list:

Both are dated Nov. 24th, 1995.

Jim, if these are not the same like yours, send them to carroll.shelby(at)gmx.de, the old gout will post it for you!

... I asked AC for prices. I guess it was in 1997, when the AC Cobras were sold relatively cheap. I don´t know, if I have still the list, but I "feeded" an excel file with the data, and the file still exists (Prices in BPD):

   AC COBRA   59.400,00
   VAT   10.395,00
   Total   69.795,00
   Delivery Pack   170,00

   AC COBRA - Optional extras
   Pioneer radio/cassette (fitted)   475,00
Pioneer CD radio/cassette and CD multichangersystem (fitted)   970,00
   Painted stripes   885,00
   Painted wheel centres   205,00
   Perspex sun visors (pair)   100,00
   Rubber mats (set)   85,00
   Sateen cotton car cover   185,00
Sigma alarm system (during build)   525,00
   Stainless steel sidevents   225,00
Wheel spinners (set of four)   400,00
   Windwings (pair)   180,00
   Wooden gearknob   45,00
   Woodrim steering wheel   160,00

I hope, this is the information you´re interested in ...

In most cases oil in the cooling water is caused by a damaged head gasket. I guess the only other way to get oil into the cooling water is to use the wrong filler cap [;)]. Normally the leak gets worse and usually oil in the cooling water will result in an overheating of the engine, which will definetly at first destroy the head gasket, then maybe some other engine components.
I´m not an engine expert but have some experience working on engines. And I had that sort of problem with my Duett Volvo. I would ask an expert. It is not only important to check the gasket, but in case of damage to find out why it was damaged (overheating?). As far as I know, BP has a large number of experts for oil leaks [:D]!

To add some experiences with the TMW stack injection: With Weber Carburetors the engine runs smooth. It has a tremendous torque and power, and you can floor the throttle without the fear to spin - the Salisbury slip does a great job. Unfortunately the 6 Ltr. engine easily ate up my T5 - the 3rd gear is the weak one. As far as I know, max. torque is 270 lb ft. and 330 lb ft. with the HD gears.
What is tremendous with the TMW injection is the throttle response. You really have to be careful with your right foot - especially out of the corners. The TMW injection compared to the carburetted engine is like brute force versus smooth force.

... I found it in the bottom of a very large box that was full of all the bits & pieces that were stripped off the car before it underwent repairs.  ... I've almost completed the rebuild, with just a few items left on the to-resolve list.  Hopefully I'll be back on the road for shake-down testing within the next few weeks...

Is there anybody out there who reassembled a car without parts left? Who cares? Congratulations to your "Lightweight" Cobra!

Well, one of the questions would be: who will be in St Tropez in may?

Yes, Sir. Promise to stop to fool around. Will check my time schedule (takes 2 minutes) and my wife´s opinion (may take from 2 minutes (No!!!!) to several weeks). Well, I remember riding the road on the sea from St. Trop to Cannes (on my bicycle, indeed) and I have to say it is one of the best rides you can have in / on a vehicle. Et les Alpes Maritimes, merveilleuse. I remember when I was in Juan les Pins I went to the bakery one early morning to get some croissants - it was some two years ago - the streets wet from cleaning (as they do usually in France in the early morning) when I heard a howl and a Lamborghini Espada turned up, rumbled around the place and disappeared again - phanomenal occurence. I felt set back for four decades!
Always worth a trip, la cote d´Azure! Really. Specially in spring times!

Is Danica a nurse? Then it´s the right choice! I can try to get an approval from german TÜV for a trailer tow hitch. I´m afraid my one and only argument will be, that a trailer might prevent the Coupe from spinnning [:D]!

O.k., Mr. NoMac. I´ll put my Mk IV on the trailer (it has clocked 5.800 miles since 1984, that´s why I don´t want to add so much miles to the tach) and you´ll take the Coupe (if it isn´t sold up to that date). Start saving money. Soon it will be Christmas and there may be many patrol cans under the christmas tree!
You will have to put 350 miles of german autobahn under the wheels.
