Hi Jonas,
Sorry no one's been able to help yet, and I can't help with the master cylinder but I think some of the very early Austin Healey 100's might have had the same shoes? So you could try ahead4healeys or AH Spares.
Hope this helps a bit.

Hi, Not sure if this is going to be of any help or not but I stumbled across an article about mga coupe window winder mechanism, it mentioned that they now have a source for some of the internal gears etc. It could be possible at a guess that these might also fit your Aceca. Sorry I don't have a link but if you Google mga coupe window winder mechanism you should find the same info.

Thanks for the tip Barrie,  I'll certainly keep it in mind.
Much appreciated.

Hi Eddie, please see attached for photo as promised, both are identical, ie they are not made differently for each side (unless of course mine is incorrect which is certainly possible! ).
The welded corner is marked with an arrow.
Hope this helps.

Hi Eddie, I've also managed to get hold of the mesh now from the US and I'm going to make up a small batch of 4 sets, the cost of importing was massive and actually cost more than the mesh itself so it sort of made sense to get a bit more than I needed.
You are correct about the frame, it is welded on one corner and the other  corners are a rounded 90 degrees. I'll try to post some photos tomorrow and I have got a pair of originals so I will also check to see if they are sided at the same time.
Hope this helps a bit.
Kind regards
Nick

Hi Eddie
Reproduction horns are quite readily available but I totally understand wanting to fit original and I'm in a very similar position, I have 4 horns, only one of which is a high note and I have 2 working low notes. As far as i can tell the only difference between the H and L is the length of the trumpets. My plan is to swap the trumpets from one horn to another. Not sure how successful this will be! I'll let you know how I get On.

Hi Chris,
It may be the same as an XK120 which is quite readily available online. You might have to check threads etc though.
Hope this helps

Ace, Aceca & Greyhound Forum / Re: SU Carb tuning

Hi,
I've read through the posts with intetest and can see you've had lots of great advice, just a thought though as it's easy overlook some the basics and assume you've got carb problems. A quick check with a vacuum gauge will give you some good indications of what's going on, expect  steady reading of approx 18 to 20 inches of mercury, a fluctuating reading would indicate a mechanical fault, e.g. valve clearances,  seats, etc, a steady low reading might indicate ign timing or valve timing etc. As a test you could even try rotating the distributor with the vacuum gauge connected to see if this improves your reading.
If you suspect you've got an induction air leak have a Google of a tool called smoke pro. I've used a snap on version of this for  years and it is unbeatable for finding induction leaks.
Hope this helps a bit.

Hi Eddie.
I've attached a few photos which should help.
The bottom furflex which is held in place by the ally trim has a softish rubber hose inside approx 7.5mm dia and has a velvet type covering.
The upper seal is a smaller diameter,  see photos,  and is wrapped in a thinner material, almost like starched cotton (not sure how else to describe it), this has a round soft solid foam inside.
I have also got some bits the same as this but have a small diameter rubber hose inside but I think these might be for the rear side windows.
Let me know if you need any more info.
Kind regards Nick

Hi,
I'm pretty sure IN Racing can supply new ones.
Probably worth a call.

Hi Eddie,
I would probably go for the second option.
I've doubled checked the measurements on mine, the thickness of the wire ranges from 1.41mm to 1.53mm and the square opening at the smallest is 4.89mm.
However I also agree that it is unlikely that AC would have used different spec for different vehicles, unless perhaps they changed supplier during production?
In reality you'll probably be ok with either option.
Hope this helps a bit and really appreciate your efforts in tracking down a supplier, I'll order some for mine too!
Kind regards Nick

If you can send me a pm with your email I'll try my best.

Try Brian Eacott AC Spares, also Holden Vintage & Classic hold a good range of Lucas parts. Let me know if you have no luck, I've got a Lucas parts book for the Ace and Aceca so in theory I should be able to provide you with a part number.
Kind regards Nick.
