I know this is an old topic, if there are 1985 diagrams I would be in your debt...

Assuming the wheels are an easy fitment as this is a LW, I would like to add the sunburst's to my std MKIV.  Thinking the muffler may cause an issue?

It is, aside from the sitting issues part.  Drives well and it sips gas unlike the gold car ….

I like the measure the frame part, best way.  Worse case get ne springs as they are cheap and easily changed.
Over time springs sag and do all kinds of funny stuff.  This assumes the shocks are still good...

AK1085 is now in NH,USA - has some "sitting" issues but overall I love this car!
Sitting issues:
Carb rebuild and Radiator pinhole...  Easy peezy
Quality is great, rides great and look forward to more sunny days.

Interesting as the Registry state's the "Original Cobra" is 1962 to 1968, the rest are what they are.
:o Funny the CSX1000 series guys add a ton of value as the body was made in UK, so was the AC MKIV, huh?
I think the biggest knock folks have on these cars is the 5.0, which after driving a 289 with Webers at 6mpg is a nice feature.
These cars are AC's so no matter what is said, they are what they are and I love both mine!

New to forum....

My car#85 has the 16", want to add the sunburst 15".  Appears the backspacing is different on the wheel so I assume I'll have issues with the muffler?
Anyone have that experience?

Also, Avon's are great however I've always had great luck with Billboards...  I have had three sets and never had tracking issues, think it may be related to alignment...  Have them on both 427 car and a 289 car (buggy spring)
